Overview
The CIEH Level 1 Award in Induction into Safety in Food Premises is designed to make candidates
aware of the key safety issues that arise in food premises and the part that they play in keeping themselves and others free
from harm in the workplace.
Aimed for:
Those who are entering the workplace for the first time – either as part of a work experience
programme or at the start of employment – and those who are starting a new job (as part of an induction programme) in
food premises.
Outline Programme
The training programme covers the following topics:
- the importance
of health and safety in the workplace
- how to spot hazards in food
premises
- reporting procedures
- importance of risk control measures
